The Story

A Victorian Town That Never Quite Changed

Downtown Eureka Springs is built into the side of the Ozark hills. The streets curve around ridges, the buildings step up and down with the terrain, and the whole town is on the National Register of Historic Places. Walking downtown feels like stepping into another century, in the best way.

The shops are almost entirely locally owned. There are art galleries featuring Ozark artists, working glass blowers and potters, specialty food and spice shops, bookstores, and boutique clothing stores. The dining is strong across all price points, from casual BBQ and pizza to fine dining with local ingredients. We are happy to recommend favorites based on your taste.

Plan at least half a day downtown. Most guests end up spending longer once they start walking. The town hosts events year round, including arts festivals, music weekends, and seasonal celebrations. Check the local visitor guide for what is happening during your stay.
